so Vancouver/Richmond/British Columbia in general are beautiful…

The days start at 5:00 am and the sun sets at 9:00pm, and the weather has been a comfortable 21 ish degrees Celsius. can i just move here now?

Today what I learned about my grandfather: he plays badminton and ping pong, and is quite good at it, he is good at calligraphy and water colors, he used to climb mountains for 10 hours a day, and carry my father and his siblings up when they got tired, and he loves to swim.

It only took me 89 years to hear about it…

Omfg this country is ridiculous. We were “randomly selected” for screening at Bradley International Airport today. And by randomly I mean, because we are Asian. 5 of the ten people chosen were Asian. Yeah that’s pretty random. This is the first time this has ever happened, so it’s clearly not because of our last name. The people were really rude about it.

We were corralled into a pen, in front of everyone else, where they proceeded to empty our stuff into “orange labeled bins-only.” Then we walked through the entryscan3, where “puffs” of air went all over our bodies, and we stood there, in this isolated box with a robot talking to us. 1984 anyone? This is fucking ridiculous. Then our bags were probed with these little wands, to look for “materials used to compose explosives.” We asked what were the criteria, or possible criteria for being selected. We were given bullshit answers, and basically told that there are numerous (“pages worth”) reasons for being selected, and it’s up to the airline, not the airport.

Of course my dad made things better, by reaching over the boundary to grab his bag and look for his cell phone. Brilliant father, brilliant. They then black listed us and put fucking stickers on our bags, and opened our bags, and we left feeling fully violated, and with fully marked up red-sharpied boarding passes—all the things you expect from an airport/airline experience.

OMFG TONIGHT DID NOT HAPPEN.

We went to White Ninja. I added a new boy to my collection, and I love him.

We drove into the meadows. Played on the train tracks, where Katherine lost her mother. Drove into mud/black hole. and died for like 5 hrs, smoking cloves, separating beads, and listening to Fergie.

Fuck you triple A, for reals. If you’re not on a road, you’re kind of shit out of luck…word.

holy shit this day just gets better, there are few reasons i love my mom, but this is a prime example of one of them:

Carrie: Mom, I think Sal has our Donkey Konga.
Mom: what? really? we don’t have any congas?
Carrie: no, i’m pretty sure they’ve had them for like…a year now.
Mom: you wanna go get em?
Carrie: uh, like, now?
Mom: yes, they’re our congas.
Carrie: ok…but i’m not going in…

my mom precedes to go into their house, unannounced, and during a christening, and comes out with one extra conga, and two games that aren’t ours. lol i love her.

i love that wordpress has a tab that say “write” and when you click it it’s just a blank page…word.

I love Douglas Duquette! yeah i said it. he’s amazing.

is it bad that i definitely just drank the remaining shot of vodka in the bottle, because i didn’t want to pack it away? lol i love myself.

T his summerI have a few projects , I want to document them, maybe i’ll video document those bitches. I think keeping records of our lives is always an interesting endeavor.

I just signed up for 43 things. I generally like robot coop, so we’ll see how that goes.

i’m fucking myself in school because i’m obsessed with something. It’s okay, school can wait. I like the feelings instead. Also, I took lots of new photos of myself, obv, because instead of doing any real work, that’s what I do.

did anyone else know this? balls…it looks so pretty I really wanted to try it!

anyway, last night I went to Wendy’s, McDonalds, and watched Talladega Nights, and Aviator…instead of studying for finals, obv.

Johanna left today, and it was sad, I <3 her.

My life is emo. School is almost over, thank god.

Haha so Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (otherwise known as the weekend) were amazing. I got to spend time with Savannah and Chris, and they’re awesome. I was licked by a pug (amongst other things) and ate naan and other delicious Indian food at Bukaharas. Played with A LOT of kitties.

Hung out with amazing ppl (person) in Western Mass, and ate some more lol. Remembered why I never really liked Friendlys. Chilled in the porn room hardcore.

Played with mom and ate ice cream and got licked by more puppies at a pet store.

Had an interesting car ride home.

Will have fun tonight, word.
